The professional world of equestrian coaching is rapidly changing, and our clients increasingly expect much more from us. Because we understand the need for new and innovative training, we created a unique short program called FEEC (Foundations for Excellence in Equestrian Coaching), a resounding success with fantastic feedback, including ‘what next - we want more’.
And now we’re delighted to offer you a deeper, more in-depth training that blends the acclaimed Happy Brain Core Model, with your needs for specialist equestrian applications.
Our new program is called Happy Brain for Equestrian Coaches (HBEC)
Whether you are new to coaching, or have many years’ experience, HBEC brings you fun, practical, skills that will keep you and your clients, easily managing clear thoughts, regulated feelings and aligned behaviours.
This program has been fine-tuned for coaches like you, who are looking for much more than ‘what’ to coach. We’ll bring you the ‘how’ to:
- Confidently manage the coaching environment variables
- Install mental strategies for self-awareness
- Install emotional strategies for self-regulation
- Install behavioural strategies that build more responsible riders
- Motivate clients to come back again and again
- Provide effective feedback to imprint future successes.
- Have more fun and creativity in your lesson delivery
You will discover the Happy Brain integration of models from education, neuroscience, health, sports, and psychology, delivered through the skill-developing technology of Neuro Linguistic Programming.
It is suitable for any coach, including those preparing for BHS Coaching Assessments, as well as those looking to enhance and expand their skills while remaining leaders of the field. Building on BHS accreditation of CPD points for our FEEC program, we have applied for appropriate recognition for this program - tbc.

April 7th: Basic Needs – discovering a simple tool that helps regulate wellbeing (The Happy Brain Secret Ingredient)
April 28th: Whole Brain Dynamic – visual models and practices for fast-tracking holistic wellbeing
May 12th: Purposeful Play – avoiding 'therapy' yet gathering vital information while having fun
May 19th: Conscious Coaching – words and ways that orientate and optimise flourishing

Happy Brain (core model) was created in 2010 by Kay Cooke, Licensed SNLP Master Trainer with an extensive background in health, education, sport, therapy, coaching and parenting.
HBEC is brought to you through the skills, expertise and experience of your Happy Brain Trainer Tracey Hutchinson – BHS Coach with more than 25 years' experience of meeting the needs of riders and horses.
